1.Nai Manzil Scheme
Nai Manzil Scheme, a Central Sector Scheme (CSS), was launched on 8 August 2015 with 50% funding from the World Bank.

It primarily targets minority youth who do not have a formal school-leaving certificate, such as school dropouts or those educated in community institutions such as madrassas.
Nai Manzil Scheme offers a combination of skill development training along with formal education up to class VIII or X. This comprehensive approach enables the beneficiaries to find better employment opportunities and better livelihood.
The initial target of the scheme was to benefit 1,00,000 beneficiaries, and the ministry allocated 99,980 slots for the purpose. So far 98,712 beneficiaries have been successfully trained under the scheme.
The government has implemented various schemes for the welfare and upliftment of all sections of the society including minorities, with special focus on the economically weaker and less privileged persons. These schemes are run by several ministries like Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Textiles, Culture, Women and Child Development and Rural Development.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs implements schemes exclusively for the empowerment of six centrally notified minority communities across the country. The objective of these schemes is to raise their socio-economic and educational status.
2. 5th Helicopter and Small Aircraft Summit
The 5th Helicopter and Small Aircraft Summit will be held on 25 July 2023 at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh.

The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Pawan Hans Limited and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
The summit will be inaugurated by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Shri Jyotiraditya M.Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel.
The objective of the event is to foster collaboration between industry stakeholders and policy makers, so that effective decisions can be taken that will further boost India’s civil aviation industry.

3. Indian Navy launches second edition of ‘G20 THINQ’ quiz
The Indian Navy, in association with the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) and the G20 Secretariat, launched the second edition of “G20 THINQ”. The initiative aims to bring together young individuals from different walks of life and geographies, fostering lasting friendship with the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – The World is One Family.

“G20 THINQ” is a national and international quiz competition designed for students studying in classes IX to XII and their counterparts.
More than 10,000 schools from across the country will participate in the national round. Sixteen schools will qualify for the semi-finals to be held in Mumbai on 16 November 2023. The top eight teams will compete in the National Championship Finals on 18 November 2023 at the iconic Gateway of India.
The Indian team in the International round will consist of two main quizzers and one standby member, who will be selected by an eminent jury. Additionally, all the sixteen semi-finalist teams will have an opportunity to visit the Naval Dockyard and interact with naval personnel onboard ships and submarines.
The quiz will be conducted in English and international standards will be followed. After a rigorous selection process, eleven international teams along with the Indian team will be selected to compete in the international finals to be held at the iconic India Gate on 22nd November 2023.
The primary objective of G20 THINQ is to enlighten the brightest young minds about the Indian Navy, which is considered to be the leader of the future.Through this quiz competition, the participants will showcase their knowledge and intelligence, thereby instilling in them a sense of patriotism and national pride.

World Brain Day, also known as International Brain Day, is an annual health care event observed around the world on 22 July.

History of World Brain Day
The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) was established on July 22, 1957, which serves as an important organisation in the field of neurology.
During the World Congress of Neurology (WCN) Council of Delegates meeting on September 22, 2013, the Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee presented a proposal to celebrate July 22 as “World Brain Day”.
Recognizing the importance of raising awareness of brain health and neurological disorders, theWFN’s Board of Trustees approved the concept during its meeting held in February 2014.
Since its inception, “World Brain Day” has served as a platform to educate the public, health care professionals, and policy makers about neurological issues, research advances, and the importance of brain health globally.

National Mango Day is celebrated every year on 22 July.

The history of the International Mango Festival can be traced back to 1987 when the National Horticulture Board of India came up with the idea of celebrating the mango fruit.
Mango cultivation in India dates back more than 5,000 years and has an important place in Indian folklore, with legends linking it to Lord Buddha.
The English and Spanish name “mango” has its roots in the Malayan word “manna”, which was transformed into “manga” by the Portuguese during their spice trade ventures in Kerala in the 1490s.
Around 300 – 400 AD mango seeds were carried by humans from Asia to various parts of the world including the Middle East, East Africa and South America.
In India, mangoes are a symbol of love and friendship, and various parts of the mango tree, including the leaves, bark, skin, kernels, and flesh, have been used in folk remedies for centuries.
Mangoes belong to the Anacardiaceae family, which also includes cashews and pistachios.
6.Rajasthan Assembly passed the ‘Rajasthan Minimum Guaranteed Income Bill, 2023’
The Rajasthan Assembly passed the ‘Rajasthan Minimum Guaranteed Income Bill, 2023’, which aims to guarantee wages or pension to every adult in the state.

The bill provides guaranteed employment of 125 days per year and a minimum monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to all households, including in urban and rural areas.
Both urban and rural households, regardless of their background, would benefit from employment guarantee and pension provisions.
There will be an annual automatic increase of 15 per cent in the minimum pension amount due to inflation and cost of living.
The bill is considered historic and matchless, as it addresses poverty and enhances social security measures for the state’s population.
The beneficiaries of the bill will also get additional benefits like free medical treatment, accident insurance, free electricity and subsidised gas cylinders, which will further improve their financial condition.

7. Admiral Lisa Franchetti becomes the first woman to lead the US Navy
US President Joe Biden has nominated Admiral Lisa Franchetti to lead the US Navy.
